Random House Open House is a seasonal event in New York City dedicated to conversation, connection, and, of course, fantastic books. We bring together a wide range of authors, from blockbuster fiction writers to Michelin-starred chefs, and everything in between, with a mission of fostering a universal thirst for knowledge and a passion for reading.

Cambria Brockman grew up in Houston, London, and Scotland and attended Holderness School in New Hampshire. She graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, with a degree in English literature. She owns an award-winning wedding and portrait photography company, Cambria Grace, along with its popular Instagram account. Brockman lives in Boston with her husband, son, and dog. Tell Me Everything is her first novel.
Maureen Callahan is an award-winning investigative journalist, author, columnist, and commentator. She has covered everything from pop culture to politics. Her writing has appeared in Vanity Fair, New York, Spin, and the New York Post, where she is critic at large. She lives in New York.
Bethany Chase isa native of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. She is the author of The One That Got Away and Results May Vary. She lives with her husband and son in New Jersey.
Lauren Gershell was born and raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where she now lives with her family. She holds a B.A. and law degree from Columbia University. That’s What Frenemies Are For is her first novel.
Linda Holmes is the beloved host of NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast. Her book EVVIE DRAKE STARTS OVER is a charming and heartfelt novel about the unlikely relationship between a young woman who’s lost her husband and a major league pitcher who’s lost his game.
Carla Lalli Music is the food director at Bon Appétit, where she oversees the brand’s food and recipe content across all platforms. She writes frequently for the magazine and its websites—bonappetit.com, Basically, and Healthyish—and is a frequent host on the Bon Appétit foodcast. Music also hosts recipe and technique videos on Bon Appétit’s YouTube channel, where millions of subscribers tune in to see what’s cooking in the test kitchen. Laura McHugh is the internationally bestselling author of The Weight of Blood, winner of an International Thriller Writers Award and a Silver Falchion Award for best first novel, and Arrowood, an International Thriller Writers Award finalist for best novel. McHugh lives in Missouri with her husband and daughters.

Domenica Ruta grew up in a working-class, unforgiving town north of Boston. Her mother, Kathi, was a notorious drug addict and sometimes dealer whose life swung between welfare and riches, and whose highbrow taste was at odds with her hardscrabble life. She is a graduate of Oberlin College and holds an MFA from the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas at Austin. Michael Symon is cohost of Food Network’s Iron Chef America andBurgers, Brew & ‘Que and was a cohost on ABC’s The Chew for seven years. He launched Symon Home on HSN in early 2018 and is chef and co-owner of the acclaimed restaurants Lola and Mabel’s BBQ, both in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as of a new Mabel’s BBQ in Las Vegas; the BSpot burger restaurants throughout Ohio and in Detroit, Michigan; and Roast in Detroit. This is his sixth cookbook.
