Random House Studio Sessions is our new event series featuring live conversations with the biggest names on your bookshelf, filmed in our studio and broadcast virtually to wherever you are. These authors will take us behind-the-scenes of their latest releases—and give a peek into their own reading and writing practices, too.
Join us on October 3 at 8 p.m. ET for Random House Studio Sessions: Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan present Mad Honey, as these bestselling authors speak with novelist and journalist Anna Quindlen about their new book—by turns a riveting novel of suspense, an unforgettable love story, and a powerful exploration of the secrets we keep and the risks we take in order to become ourselves.
After betrayal, Olivia McAfee leaves her husband and moves back to her sleepy New Hampshire hometown with her son, Asher, taking over her father’s beekeeping business. At the same time, high school senior Lily Campanello and her mom have relocated to the same town . . . like Olivia, hoping for a fresh start. When Asher falls for the new girl in school, Lily can’t help but fall for him, too. Yet at times, she wonders if she can trust him completely. . . .
Then one day, Olivia receives a phone call: Lily is dead, and Asher is being questioned by the police. Olivia is adamant that her son is innocent. But as the case against him unfolds, she realizes he has a lot to hide.
The event will be broadcast via Zoom, and each ticket includes a signed hardcover copy of Mad Honey in addition to event access. Book orders will be fulfilled by our independent bookstore partner, Norwich Bookstore. We are only able to accommodate domestic shipping for book orders made through this event.
