Random House Book Club April Happy Hour

Join us to discuss The Bohemians by Jasmin Darznik

April 22, 2021 in Zoom

Here at RHBC, we’re all about reading with friends (it’s kind of our whole thing). So this month, we’re doing something special: We’re linking up with our friends at the Read It Forward Book Club for our April Spotlight Pick and Zoom Happy Hour. Why? Because Read It Forward is a place for readers to discuss, analyze, and rave about books that showcase voices of all kinds . . . and because we think stories are better shared.😉

This means we’ll all read our April Spotlight Pick, The Bohemians by Jasmin Darznik., discuss it throughout the month in the Read It Forward Facebook group. Then, we’ll come together at the end of the month for our usual Virtual Happy Hour.
Register for the event here.

Set in 1920s San Francisco, The Bohemians is dazzling novel about one of America’s most celebrated photographers, Dorothea Lange. (You definitely know her most famous photograph, “Migrant Mother,” as a defining image of the Great Depression.) The years Dorothea spends in San Francisco, and the people she meets (including Frida Kahlo and Ansel Adams), will awaken the grit, compassion, and daring that will become trademarks of her career.

We can’t wait to discuss art, friendship, and finding one’s purpose with you and the book lovers of RIF. So join us for a Zoom Happy Hour on Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. with a special appearance from author Jasmin Darznik.

By registering you agree to be automatically signed up for the Random House Events email newsletter and partners associated with the event. (Privacy Policy)

From new releases to old favorites, we’ll keep you up to date with plenty of giveaways, behind-the-scenes interviews with authors, bonus content to discuss at your meeting, and much more . . . because stories are better shared.
