Dr Xiaobing Wang is an economist and the research director at the Manchester China Institute at the University of Manchester. He received his PhD degree from King's College London, and his masters' degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Birmingham. Xiaobing's research is in the area of Growth and Development, Structural Change, and the Economics of China. He has extensive media experience including TV and radio. He loves reading and writing, and has a deep knowledge and understanding of the mythology of ancient China.
