Anne Groell, Executive Editor, She/Her
Anne Groell has been working in science fiction and fantasy publishing for close to thirty years—although she has been a devotee of the genre far longer. A brief flirtation with science (minus the fiction) intervened, and she received a B.A. in Biology from Yale University, and an M.S. in Developmental Biology from the University of California at Irvine before returning to her first true love: books. She started at Avon Books in 1992, moved on to Bantam Spectra in 1994, then was merged with the Del Rey team in 2008. She works with such authors as George R.R. Martin, Terry Brooks, Naomi Novik, Robin Hobb, Scott Lynch, Peter F. Hamilton, and Connie Willis. A native New Yorker, Anne was born in Manhattan, and now lives in the Bronx with her husband and daughter.
