Julia Harrison is an assistant editor at Random House, where she has worked with authors including George Saunders, Emma Cline, Daniel Mason, Imbolo Mbue, Liana Finck, Wesley Morris, Lena Dunham, and Jonathan Mahler. In fiction, Julia is drawn to ambitious, expansive novels that entertain while exploring big ideas. Non-exhaustively, Julia is a fan of: multigenerational stories, reimagined histories, a Bildungsroman, parlor mysteries, magical realism, neo-Gothicism, noir,  satire, folktale, and international narratives. In non-fiction, Julia is interested in memoir, cultural criticism, and deeply researched history and investigative journalism with literary merit. Prior to joining Random House, she worked at The Clegg Agency and with the O. Henry Prize for short stories.
