Si hay algo que haga aún más fuertes los vínculos entre padres e hijos, es la capacidad de ésta para repartir tareas, para deshacerse de los roles estúpidos que la sociedad impone y para encontrar el cariño en los defectos de sus componentes. Mafalda lo sabe muy bien, y las viñetas de Quino lo demuestran: la única certeza sobre las familias es que sólo serán felices aquellas conscientes de que nunca, jamás, serán perfectas.

Obviously, the girl understood that these days it was nonsense. If there is one thing that makes the bonds between parents and children even stronger, it is their capacity to distribute tasks, to get rid of the stupid roles that society imposes and to find love in the defects of its components.
