About the Book

From the New World is originally set in a Japan a millennium from now. Five teens—Saki, Satoru, Maria, Mamoru, and Shun—have been born and raised in a tranquil town that can be described as a utopia overflowing with water and foliage. After working for a life insurance company for several years, Kishi started his writing career as a freelancer. He has twice won the Japan Horror Association Award, as well as top literary honors for crime fiction and science fiction. Kishi is a bestselling author in Japan with multiple works adapted to the screen.
